Feeling Nostalgic for 2003

Ah 2003… Take a step back and let the memories roll over you. Chicago took home the Oscar for Best Picture. Wicked opened on Broadway and Hairspray won Best Musical at the Tony Awards. Beyonce’s first solo album, Dangerously in Love, topped the Billboard charts. Norah Jones won six Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year for Come Away With Me. Finding Nemo and Pirates of the Caribbean were released in theaters. It was the final season of Friends!  Most likely, you likely had a Blackberry (Palm Pilot?) in your pocket.

And in the wine world, it was HOT HOT HOT. There were record-breaking heat waves throughout the Summer in Europe and in the early part of the Summer in California. But the vintage was very well-received by the critics!

Pamela and Tony Cmelak were feeling a little nostalgic when they pulled together this special, memory-evoking tour of the world of wine from 2003 from their cellar. The global wine lineup is a dream come true and it will be paired with Chef Brian Landry’s delectable cuisine at the Thompson Hotel.
