After nearly 30 years taking safaris personally, Next Adventure shares the benefit of their experience with you, the lucky high bidder. Also, for the past five years in a row, Next Adventure has been named a Top Travel Specialist list by Condé Nast Traveler. The team at Next Adventure has not only curated this magnificent South African experience, but they will also concierge your travel and assist with any edits, upgrades, or additions for your trip. Hey, if they could make Anthony Bourdain’s safari unforgettable, imagine what they can do for you!

Here is how it will unfold:

Cape Town

Your adventure begins in Cape Town, one of the most visually spectacular cities in the world. A true fan favorite, Cape town has an exciting Mediterranean vibe, amazing culinary scene, beautiful Cape Dutch architecture, a thriving art community, and successful sports teams – all set to the backdrop of iconic Table Mountain and the turbulent waters of the Atlantic Ocean.

Indulge in a VIP meet and greet at the airport, and a transfer to your luxury home base in the heart of the city, either the Claremont Boutique Hotel, or the Cape Cadogan Boutique. Each hotel offers bed and breakfast style stays, with lovely gardens, prized restaurants, and high-end amenities. These stylish urban retreats offer the finest experiences, ensuring every stay in Cape Town is truly memorable.

Next Adventure has set up daily private tours for you to experience all of Cape Town. You’ll dive into the history and culture with a half day city tour. You will spend an entire day touring the Peninsula – experiencing the magnificent coast, getting up close to the penguins at Boulder Bay, have your photo made in front of the Cape of Good Hope sign – and be mesmerized by the currents and waves as the warm waters of the Indian Ocean meet the cold waters of the Atlantic. The coastal drive is one of the most scenic in the world.

Next up with Next Adventure? Let the names Franschhoek and Stellenbosch roll off your tongue as you taste the Bordeaux Blends and cold-climate Sauvignon Blancs that this region is famous for. In addition to world class wines, this region is known for great cheeses, olives, and other culinary delights.

Sabi Sand Nature Reserve

Wave goodbye to city life, and board your plane for a short flight to the Sabi Sand Nature Reserve, which protects 65,000 hectares of Africa’s most pristine Big Five territory – and there is so much more. It is not hyperbole: Sabi Sand is a magical place. Here you’ll spend your next four nights immersed in nature, experiencing the quintessential luxury African safari.

Each morning and evening you will depart from the stylish lodge into the bush, either by open safari vehicle or on foot for a walking safari, accompanied by your armed and knowledgeable Game Ranger and Shangaan tracker. You’ll get close enough to share in a thrilling encounter with Africa’s beautiful Big Five:  Elephant, rhino, cape buffalo, lion, and leopard. But most of all, you will understand what it is like to completely disengage from your daily distractions and focus exclusively – in the moment – on what is around you: a naughty vervet monkey trying to steal away with a breakfast muffin, a panting cheetah trying to digest its latest meal, a lion cub sneaking up on its dad, a group of giraffes encircling your vehicle and watching you curiously, an elephant lapping from the waterhole in front of you, a warthog digging in the dirt, crocodiles sunning on the banks of the river. There is no other place like Africa.

Your all-inclusive stay in Sabi Sand will be at one of two luxurious lodges, the Sabi Sabi Earth Lodge or Lion Sands River Lodge. Each designer suite looks over an expansive indoor-outdoor lounge, a shimmering private pool, and directly into the bush. Free yourself from the demands of daily life and melt into flawless luxurious comfort. Dream big on a king-sized bed, soak in the views from the splendor of your outdoor lounge or drift off on your sun lounger lulled by the soothing hum of nature’s song.

In addition to the two daily safari excursions, your wilderness stay includes all meals, teas and coffees, minibar in your room, all soft drinks, and a selection of beers, spirits and house wines, and laundry. Premium wine and spirits are available for purchase.

You have the option to follow this itinerary as is or rearrange it to your liking. Either way, before you is the perfect way to experience South Africa’s diverse offerings, so raise your paddle and claim your Next Adventure!
