31 May l’Eté du Vin celebrates 45 years with wines from the 45th Parallel
Nashville Wine Auction’s signature event, the Country’s Longest Running Charity Wine Auction, to take place July 25-27, 2024
NASHVILLE, TN (May 21, 2024) – The Nashville Wine Auction will host the 45th Annual l’Eté du Vin on July 25-27, 2024. This three-day series of events has something for wine lovers of various experience levels featuring: Vintners’ Tasting on July 25, Patrons’ Dinner on July 26, and the 45th Annual l’Eté du Vin Live Auction on July 27.
In celebration of 45 years, l’Eté du Vin will feature wines emblematic of the 45th Parallel. Five of the world’s most renowned wine regions lie along the latitudinal range of 45 degrees: Willamette Valley, Bordeaux, Lombardy, Piedmont, and Northern Rhône. Guests of honor include: Michael G. Etzel, Beaux Frères, Olivier Bernard, Domaine de Chevalier, Niccolo Maltinti, Prunotto, Jacob Gragg, Ca’ del Bosco, Shane Moore, Zena Crown Vineyard, and Alix Romec, M. Chapoutier.
“It is extraordinary that l’Eté du Vin is in its 45th year of uniting the wine community to fund the fight against cancer,” President and CEO of the Nashville Wine Auction Loren Chumley says. “We are thrilled to bring these fantastic vintners to Nashville to showcase their wines and celebrate our cause.”
Proceeds from l’Eté du Vin, the country’s longest running charity wine auction, support twelve local non-profit organizations whose purpose is directly related to cancer research, innovative patient treatment, and caregiver/patient support.
l’Eté du Vin also welcomes three wineries located just south of the 45th Parallel: Alpha Omega, Chappellet Vineyard and Mayacamas Vineyards. These vintners will share their wines at the Patrons’ Dinner Friday evening and at the l’Eté du Vin wine-tasting reception Saturday evening.
Marc Goldstone & Nancy Allen and Rahel Klapheke Sloan & Jim Sloan will co-chair l’Eté du Vin.
“Raising money to fund the fight against cancer is a cause that’s very personal to Nancy and me,” co-chairs Marc Goldstone and Nancy Allen say. “We are honored to co-chair this amazing event, and share an incredible evening of food, fun, and of course, wine, while pursuing such a noble goal. We invite all of Nashville to join us!”
Both couples are long-time supporters of the Nashville Wine Auction, hosting previous events in their homes to further the organization’s mission. Goldstone and Jim Sloan currently serve on the auction’s board and Rahel Klapheke Sloan, owner of Parker’s Paws Animal Hospital, has supported our fundraisers for many years, most recently as a 2024 Principal Sponsor.
“What an honor to be co-chairs of this year’s l’Eté du Vin,” co-chairs Rahel Klapheke Sloan & Jim Sloan say. “We are drinking the best wines in the world while raising money to fight cancer. What could be better than that?”
