The Nashville Wine Auction and Preston Hunt, WSET III, Wine Manager of Frugal MacDoogal, have teamed up for another exciting wine tasting. This time Preston will take you on a tour of the wonderful wines produced in Willamette Valley, Oregon.
Home to more than 700 wineries in 11 different AVAs, Willamette Valley is best known for producing world class Pinot Noirs. But this area is not one dimensional… Wineries in the region also produce Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Merlot, and Syrah. Sparkling wines produced in Champagne style are also celebrated as some of the best in America.
In addition to learning the proper pronunciation of Willamette, you’ll gain a basic understanding of these incredible wines and the region from where they hail. Preston will lead you on a journey featuring affordable wines and all that Willamette Valley has to offer.
