The Terry Murray Open

This year, we offer a very special and nostalgic “Open” event, in honor of one of our most ardent supporters who passed last year. This event promises amazing wines, amazing friends, and heartfelt reminiscing about our dear friend, Terry Murray.

In 2024, our hearts were broken at the sudden passing of Terry. He lit up a room with his sense of humor, his joy of bringing people together, and his exceptional talent for – at times – being the absolute life of the party.

Terry loved all things about l’Eté du Vin, and the Nashville Wine Auction community. From the start, he was involved with all facets of the organization, including soliciting donations, writing the catalog, helping select Norman M. Lipman award winners, and working the auction as a “ring man” on the auction floor.

After his passing, those who have loved Terry for decades responded with a massive outpouring of love and exceptional bottles of wine. The resulting lot consisted of 45 bottles and eight magnums of top tier juice of which Terry would have definitely approved.

Pam and Steve Taylor were the lucky winners of that lot… And lucky for us, they have donated this special collection of wine right back and have agreed to open their beautiful home for a memorial tasting at The Terry Murray Open on November 7, 2025.

Winning bidders will enjoy dinner prepared by Chef Joe Townsend while you stroll down memory lane, share great stories and sip from the jaw-dropping wine list below… All in honor of one of the greats, Terry Murray.

This will be a memorable party to share stories, laughter and remember… “Time’s Fun when you’re Having Flies!”
