On March 28, 2025, Carrie Kitko and Matt Leavitt will host the winning bidders of this lot their beautiful home for a dinner celebrating the wines of Hyde de Villaine! Chef Joe Townsend, a Nashville Wine Auction favorite, will prepare the food for the evening to pair alongside a lineup of the different varietals of HdV. To make this dinner even more iconic, a special guest from HdV will also be in attendance.
If you aren’t familiar with Hyde de Villaine, allow us to make an introduction:
Old World meets New World in this family partnership between the Hydes of Hyde Vineyard in Carneros and their cousin Pamela and her husband, Aubert de Villaine, co-director of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. Bringing the rich traditions of France’s winemaking techniques, Aubert drives Hyde de Villaine’s viticulture and winemaking philosophy: minimal intervention by the winemaker in order to express the varietal, the vineyard, and the vintage. Larry Hyde brings a legacy of family farming in California and over four decades of experience growing wine grapes in Napa Valley, particularly Carneros. Aubert and Larry are both innovators with a desire for continuous improvement in the vineyard, and they have established a culture around the pursuit of excellence for Hyde de Villaine wines over the past 24 years.
From the very first vintage in 2000, Hyde de Villaine wines have shown their pedigree, fusing the finesse and balance of Old World winemaking with the exuberance of California fruit from the legendary Hyde Vineyard. And speaking of pedigree, the HdV Chardonnay garnered a coveted #3 spot on the 2023 Wine Spectator Top 100!
This dinner is as legendary as HdV’s pedigree!
