About Elise Loehr
As Sommelier and Wine Director of F. Scott’s Restaurant and Jazz Bar,
Elise Loehr combines her knowledge of wine and food with a passionate, intelligent vitality.
Elise’s education led her on extensive travels across the world’s great wine regions. She attended some of the wine industry’s most challenging programs, including the Advanced School of Service and Hospitality in Napa, California, the advanced level of the Wine and Spirits Educators Trust where she graduated with merit, and the completion of the Court of Master Sommelier’s Advanced Exam.
Elise is currently a candidate for the Court’s Master Sommelier Diploma, a certification so rigorous only 171 people worldwide have earned the title since its creation in 1969.Elise frequently teaches wine classes, serves as a frequent guest lecturer at wine seminars, and is a regular member of the Tennessean’s tasting panel for its syndicated weekly wine column. She’s been featured in magazines and donates her time as sommelier and lecturer for charity events including as Nashville’s l’Ete du Vin.
