l’Eté du Vin Canceled; Music City Harvest Party set for October 9, 2020

To the Nashville Wine Auction community,

After careful consideration during the COVID-19 global pandemic, the Nashville Wine Auction Board of Directors has concluded it is best to cancel l’Eté du Vin this year. Many factors were considered in this time of great uncertainty, including: the health and wellbeing of our community, nation, and world; the hardships within the wine, travel, and hospitality industries; our sponsors’, bidders’, and donors’ economic situation this year; and the position of so many Nashville nonprofit organizations.  Because these partners and friends are so important to Nashville Wine Auction, and their contributions are so vital to the success of l’Eté du Vin, we have decided to wait for better times to hold our auction and the many events that surround it.

We are making this business decision so that our organization will remain strong and able to bring you the 41st Annual l’Eté du Vin on Saturday, July 24, 2021, with special Guest of Honor Alessia Antinori. Together, we will make that event an excellent, celebratory experience and highly successful fundraising event.

At this time, we are moving ahead with plans for the inaugural Music City Harvest Party slated for later in the year for Friday, October 9, 2020, at Green Door Gourmet.  This casual outdoor event will be a very special time for our community of wine lovers to gather and celebrate the harvest and our friendships.

A challenging outcome of this decision is our Beneficiaries will be negatively impacted by this necessary cancellation, and it is with that in mind that we ask for your help now.  If you normally attend l’Eté du Vin, would you consider making a donation directly to any or all of these worthy cancer organizations?  Can you imagine what it must be like to be going through cancer treatments in the midst of the corona virus?   There are many in our community that still need your help.  You can help ease their experience by clicking through to our Beneficiaries below to make a donation today, or you may make a cash donation to Nashville Wine Auction that will be shared with all our Beneficiary partners.

Thank you for all you have done over the years to support the Nashville Wine Auction and our very worthy Beneficiaries.

Stay safe and we’ll be together again soon,

Holly Hearn Whaley
