A Taste of Piemonte - SOLD OUT

Featuring the wines of Prunotto

Friday, July 23 at 7:00 pm | Giovanni Ristorante | $300 Per Person

The Prunotto estate is located in Alba, within the Centuries-old territory: The Langhe.
Alba is the most important city in the Langhe area halfway between Barbaresco and Barolo on the right side of the Tanaro river. Alba’s surrounding landscapes are captivating. The natural beauty of the gently rolling hills alternate with small sloping valleys covered by rows of meticulously cultivated vineyards. The Antinori family, charmed by such natural beauty, unique vineyards and soils, decided to invest time and energy in this terroir confident that their efforts would make Prunotto what it is today, one of the most important winemaking estates in the Piedmont region.

Join us on July 23 where the wines of Prunotto will be complemented by the Italian cuisine of Giovanni Ristorante, one of the best Italian restaurants in Nashville, serving authentic creations by Chef Giovanni Pinato — homemade pastas, exquisite risotto, seasonal black and white truffles, imported cheeses, salumi, veal, prime beef, fresh seafood and delicious homemade Italian bread. (Menu to be posted soon)

Featured wines will include

  • Roero Arneis DOCG
  • Fiulot Barbera d’Asti DOCG
  • Occhetti Langhe Nebbiolo DOC
  • Barbaresco DOCG
  • Barolo DOCG

An Expression of Napa Valley -
SOLD OUT

Antica wines crafted by Antinori

Friday, August 20 at 7:00 pm | E3 Chophouse | $300 Per Person

Antica Napa Valley is a perfect balance between Tuscan and California styles. The landscape and the surrounding hillsides are surprisingly similar to Tuscany but more importantly, it’s perfect viticulture territory. In 1993, convinced that this terroir possessed outstanding potential, the Antinori family decided to invest in this project and took over the vineyards and winery operations. The estate encompasses 220 hectares (500 acres) of planted vineyards. In 2006 “Antica” Napa Valley was produced, a wine that bonds and expresses the Tuscan and Californian styles in perfect harmony.  The name is a combination of Antinori and California, as well as the word for “Ancient” in Italian. The Antica Winery is the fulfillment of a dream and at the same time a milestone for the production of great Antinori wines in Napa Valley.

This August 20 wine experience will take place at E3 Chophouse. Enjoy the high end, service-driven, ranch-to-restaurant steakhouse in Hillsboro Village where the wines of Antica Napa Valley will be paired with the all-natural, responsibly raised certified beef of the E3 certified ranches. (Menu to be posted soon.)

Featured wines will include

  • Marchesi Signature ‘A26’ Chardonnay
  • Mountain Select Cabernet Sauvignon
  • Townsend Cabernet Sauvignon
  • G&G Soracco Late Harvest

This dinner is sponsored by Sherrard, Roe, Voigt and Harbison.

Toscana al Fresco - SOLD OUT

Explore the wines of Guado al Tasso

Friday, September 10 at 7:00 pm | Johnny Haffner’s Porch | $325 Per Person

Guado al Tasso. An expression of Bolgheri Terroir.
This estate is located in the small but prestigious Bolgheri DOC, on the coast of upper Maremma, about one hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This appellation has a relatively recent history, DOC Bolgheri was approved in 1994 and since then it has become an internationally recognized reference point for the Italian and international winemaking arena. The della Gherardesca family began wine production on the estate as early as the second half of the 17th Century. In the 1930s the property came under the control of the Antinori family through marriage.

The vineyards are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Vermentino grapes. The nearby sea provides a mild climate with constant breezes that mitigate summer heat and alleviate harsh winter weather, maintaining a clear sky and a high level of sunlight exposure. The area’s alluvial soils, which vary from sandy-clay to silty-clay rich in agglomerate from Bolgheri (very fine gravel), influence the character and personality of the varietals grown and give them a distinctive territorial identity.

As the summer months begin to bring cooler weather, we’ll enjoy this wine experience al fresco on Chef Johnny Haffner’s porch.  Johnny’s wildly popular creative culinary cuisine will bring out the best in the wines from Tuscany’s Bolgheri region.  (Menu to be posted soon.)
