Sparkling Success at 2nd Annual Champagne and Chardonnay

On Tuesday, October 16, 2012, more than 200 women gathered at the beautiful home of Janice McCord to enjoy an evening out with friends and support an important cause. The glamorous evening featured fantastic food and wine and a flurry of exciting activities for our guests.

Ladies enjoyed the beautiful 70 degree Nashville weather as they mingled on the terrace surrounding the pool. During the sparkling Silent Auction, women enthusiastically bid on stunning selections of wines and Champagnes among other fantastic items. The evening continued with remarks from Chairman Amy Smith, Executive Director Holly Whaley, Tennessee Breast Specialist Dr. Laura Lawson from St. Thomas Health Services, and a moving story from cancer survivor Teri Johnson. Before the night ended, Auctioneer David Allen from Music City Auction led the animated Live Auction, which featured Judith Ripka “Eclipse” Earrings, a Private Dinner at Johnny Haffner’s for Eight and a Four-Night Getaway for Four at Loews Don CeSar Hotel in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Thanks to all of our guests, donors, sponsors and volunteers, NashvilleWine Auction raised more than $37,000 at the 2nd Annual Champagne and Chardonnay. We accomplished 100% growth in attendance from last year and exceeded our revenue goals. For ladies interested in attending next year, Nashville Wine Auction is planning its 3rd Annual Champagne and Chardonnay in October, 2013.
