We Nashvillians sure do love our city. But every once in a while, a fabulous weekend away with Master Chef José Gutierrez is just what the doctor ordered! Mark your calendars for the weekend of April 29, 2023 and gather your group of six couples to bid on this weekend in Memphis!

To get you there, a luxury Mercedes van will transport you from Nashville and have you arriving in style. After checking into your rooms at the luxurious River Inn of Harbor Town, your driver will take you to the fabulous modern French American bistro, River Oaks featuring the delectable cuisine of Master Chef José Gutierrez.

Chef Gutierrez’s exceptional culinary creativity can be traced to his French heritage and Southern influences. Although native to France with Spanish roots, Chef José has been a Memphis resident for over 30 years and hence, a true Southerner. He was born in Provence, France and began his culinary career at the Professional Culinary School in Manosque, France. After school, he worked under the direction of several esteemed chefs and then trained with the celebrated chef Paul Bocuse, creator of Nouvelle Cuisine.

After a distinguished, unparalleled 22-year career at the Peabody Hotel’s Chez Phillipe, Chef Gutierrez and his wife Colleen started the wonderful Encore Restaurant in Memphis from 2005 to 2010. In 2010 he joined River Oaks restaurant, which he and Colleen now own. Chef José has expertly guided River Oaks to its status today as one of Memphis’ premier eateries.

Ask anyone who attended last year’s No Mo’ Fomo Dinner, at the home of Andrea and Chris Diamantis, this food is UNreal. Chef José has been a big supporter of the Nashville Wine Auction and we are thrilled to have him prepare an unforgettable experience at his own private dining room.

And of course, dinner will be paired with a top-drawer lineup of French wines:
