Day 1
Your dream vacation and VIP treatment starts when you arrive at the Paris airport. You’ll bypass the lines and language barriers with the Meet & Greet service and be whisked away to Reims and your luxury accommodations in Champagne at Domaine Les Crayères. This 5-star Relais & Châteaux hotel features a stunning setting where pure classical French style rooms await. Work with your travel planner to secure reservations that evening in the Michelin Two Star Restaurant Le Parc.
Day 2
Rise and Shine and meet your private guide in the lobby of your hotel and departure for a full day in Champagne! You will enjoy a private tour of Reims with a visit to the Cathedral, a visit to both Veuve Cliquot and Ruinart.
Reims, one of the main gastronomic centres of France is eager to show you the legacy of its glorious past and to lead you into a prestigious realm of the most celebrated and festive of wines. This town centre offers both the elegance of its Art Deco facades and its relaxed atmosphere, which prevails in the streets and on the café-terraces. Reims enjoys one of the greatest cathedrals of France, both for its’ history and architecture. The Notre Dame Cathedral, a Unesco World Heritage site, is where the French kings were crowned during 15 centuries. It is famous for its Marc Chagall stain glass and more than 2,300 statues including the famous Smiling Angel.
Your tour of Veuve Cliquot will include discovering the exceptional life of Madame Cliquot, “La Grand Dame de la Champagne,” the magnificent Unesco listed chalk cellars of the House, and a private tasting.
The second visit to a Champagne House, Ruinart, will include the history of the Ruinart family that has run the House steadfastly for over two centuries, a tour and private tasting.
Your guide will suggest lunch options today. You will return to Les Crayeres at around 5 pm.
Day 3
Hooray! Another great tasting day! Work with the team at the Nashville Wine Auction to set up two appointments today in the region, plus a fun casual lunch at Prise de Mousse in Rilly-la-Montagne. This wine shop and tasting bar specializes in wines from the more than 40 villages covering the Mountain of Reims. There are more than 180 different labels available in this store alone. You will want to visit our friends at Champagne Gardet today – our Guest of Honor from the 42nd Annual l’Eté du Vin.
Day 4
Say goodbye to Domaine Les Crayères and head to Paris! Check into the gorgeous Relais Christine Hotel where you’ll discover true French Charm. Since 1979, the Relais Christine has been one of the Left Bank’s best kept secrets… A favorite address, jealously guarded by artists and all lovers of Paris who seek the friendly atmosphere of a family home with the refinement and attentive service of the very best luxury hotels. After unpacking you’ll meet your guide for a private wine and cheese tasting tour. Learn everything you wanted to know about pairing wine and food and enjoy French wines expertly accompanied by French cheeses.
Day 5
Would you prefer a sightseeing tour in Montmartre or a cooking class? Work with your travel planner to make it happen. With its maze of cobbled lanes, ivy-clad houses and wealth of rich history, there’s nowhere else in the city quite like Montmartre – a must-see on any visit to the City of Love. OR head to the market with your chef to purchase the products for the day’s menu. So many choices, so little time – and you are in charge of this last full day in Paris.
Day 6
Give Paris a kiss goodbye as your English-speaking driver will transport you to the Paris airport to ensure a stress-free departure. You’ll leave France a little more in love… With food, with Champagne, and with each other!
