NASHVILLE, Tenn. (November 12, 2013) – The Nashville Wine Auction is pleased to announce the success of the 3rd Annual Champagne and Chardonnay, which was held on October 3,2013 at the home of Kelly Pappas Crockett. This exclusive, ladies-only event, sponsored by Saint Thomas Health, Dr. Mark Whaley, DDS, Domaine Chandon and Newton Vineyards raised $57,754 to fund the fight against cancer.
“This year’s Champagne and Chardonnay was our best yet,” noted Holly Whaley, Executive Director of the Nashville Wine Auction. “The support of our sponsors, the leadership of our Host Committee, and the generosity of the ladies in attendance truly made this a spectacular evening.”
Ladies were welcomed into Kelly’s beautiful home with Domaine Chandon Sparkling Wines. As they walked in, fashion brands Tory Burch and Judith Ripka Jewlery were on hand to sell jewelry, hand bags and fashion accessories. Delicious hors d’oeuvres were provided by Kristen Winston Catering. A Sparkling Silent Auction featured great wines, trips and luxury items.
During the program, cancer survivor, Joanna Montgomery addressed the ladies and shared her personal journey battling cancer. A first hand account of her story can be found here: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/joannamontgomery/post-mastectomy-my-new-foobs_b_3886195.html. Her words struck a chord with every woman and energized them to bid high on the Sparkling Auction to raise even more money to fight cancer.
