Nashville Wine Auction to Host the Inaugural ‘Music City Harvest Party’
A Fall Fiesta Featuring Wines from South America October 14, 2022
Wine Collectors, Enthusiasts and Explorers Unite the Wine Community to Fund Fight Against Cancer
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Sept. 1, 2022 – The Nashville Wine Auction is planning to host its first-ever Music City Harvest Party on Friday, Oct. 14, 2022. This is a brand-new event for the Nashville-based nonprofit, and hopes are high for a successful fundraising celebration this fall after this summer’s record-breaking l’Eté du Vin, the charity’s most iconic and impactful fundraiser of the year.
The theme for this year’s inaugural party is: A Fall Fiesta featuring wines from South America.
The Music City Harvest Party will take place at the Cedarwood outdoor event space. There will be eight-to-ten featured wineries from South America, a one-hour auction of wine-themed luxury items, a seated dinner for more than 250 guests, a late-party for the younger crowd, a cigar and bourbon bar, fire pits, and live music for dancing.
Traditionally, the Nashville Wine Auction has hosted Champagne & Chardonnay and The Men’s Event on the same night for its fall fundraising event(s). However, these two events always sold out and were at capacity. In order to accommodate demand, and raise more money for its beneficiaries, the nonprofit created the Music City Harvest Party.
“We are all excited about this brand-new event,” said Loren Chumley, Pres./CEO of the Nashville Wine Auction. “We are embracing many new themes and several ‘firsts’ with this party as this is the first time we have featured wines from South America at one of our major events. Also, we are hosting this event outdoors, which is fun for a harvest theme. Live music and dancing are also new – and so is the addition of a Late Party. This new party is important because we continue to attract people who are enthusiastic to learn more about great wines and enjoy being part of this growing wine community in Nashville.”
The Nashville Wine Auction is the country’s longest-running charity wine auction and has raised more than $32 million dollars over the years to support local cancer-related nonprofit organizations.
“It’s an honor to co-chair the first Music City Harvest Party,” said event Co-Chair Lisa Maki. “We look forward to bringing together so many generous wine lovers to help raise money for these worthy organizations.”
“I love that it’s going to be a casual, outdoor event with lots of space,” said event Co-Chair Amy Atkinson. “This event will have a special Nashville feel. We all want to toast to good friends, great wine, and support important cancer-related charities. This is the perfect opportunity to do so.”
