Nashville Wine Auction presents the 2nd Annual Pairings: A Celebration of Wine and Food
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (January 16, 2014) – Nashville Wine Auction announced that the 2nd Annual Pairings: A Celebration of Wine and Food will be held from February 21-22, 2014.
On Friday, February 21 from 7:00 pm to 10:30 pm, a five course dinner prepared by award winning chefs and perfectly paired with California wineries will be held at The Rosewall, MStreet Entertainment’s newest event venue, with a small Live Auction. On Saturday, February 22, from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm, guests will taste the wines of more than twenty-five vineyards from Napa Valley, Sonoma and the Central Coast, while sampling wine-friendly foods at the Factory at Franklin and participate in a Silent and Live Auction.
“Last year’s inaugural Pairings event was such a success, that we decided to spread it out to two days,” said Holly Whaley, Executive Director. “This year, it’s going to be twice as much fun! We look forward to attracting new food and wine enthusiasts to Pairings in order to fund the fight against cancer and deliver even more proceeds to our beneficiaries.”
The 2013 Co-Chairs for Pairings are Hayley and Shane Bailey and Lori and Tom Guardino. “There is something magical about having the perfect pairings, where the wine brings out the best characteristics in the food, and the food showcases the best of the wine,” said Lori Guardino. “We are so excited to have such talented chefs pairing up with our Vintners this year.”
Friday night’s dinner will feature a cocktail reception at the exclusive Citizen, MStreet’s private club, before guests are escorted to The Rosewall. Featured chefs this year include Greg Baker (The Refinery, Tampa), Matt Bolus (The 404 Kitchen, Nashville), Lisa Donovan (Husk, Nashville), Robert Grace (Kayne Prime, Nashville), Andy Hayes (Moto Cucina & Enoteca, Nashville), Hal Holden-Bache (Lockeland Table, Nashville), Anthony Lamas (Seviche, Lousiville), Andrew Ticer and Michael Hudman (Andrew Michael Italian Kitchen and Hog & Hominy, Memphis) and Scott Witherow (Olive & Sinclair Chocolate Co.).
