This special dinner is ready to accept the highest bidder with open arms. We’ll throw a dinner party in your home complete with an outstanding lineup from Napa’s favorite family, a member of that family, and perfectly paired cuisine of one of Nashville’s favorite Chef. Alright, we won’t keep you in suspense, it’s Bill or Cole Ballentine of William Cole Vineyards and Chef Kevin Ramquist of The Unicorn Nashville!
William Cole Vineyards is a familiar name here at the Nashville Wine Auction because of how we often gush about their exceptional wines. You could also call it a familial name because the William Cole experience feels like a warm welcoming family.
Wine is a family business for the Ballentines, a fourth and fifth-generation winemakers in the Napa Valley whose family has roots in the area beginning in 1922. Bill and his wife Jane have incorporated family into all aspects of the William Cole label (named after Bill and his son, Cole). He named his special cuvée labels after his wife Jane and daughter Claire. Their sense of family is furthered by their customer relationships, most of whom were introduced by word of mouth and have become friends for life. Bill is inspired by his commitment to quality and is always looking for ways to evolve and offer something more for his family of customers.
Depending on your timing, you’ll dine with either Bill or Cole and they’ll be bringing a handpicked selection of favorite wines for you and your guests, including Rosé, Chardonnay, Stonemaiden, and Cuvée Claire. Also coming to town is Sales & Hospitality Director Emily Steen and they are all looking forward to tasting those wines with you during this five-course feast.
Kevin Ramquist is another member of our Nashville Wine Auction family we adore (it’s great to have a renowned Chef in the family). His resume includes The Wild Boar, F. Scott’s Restaurant and Five Daughters Bakery while his current project, The Unicorn Nashville, crafts unique, customized menus that are a culinary treat. He’s bringing his high caliber skills to your kitchen for the ultimate pairing experience.

The fourth generation in his family to make wine in Napa Valley, William Ballentine, Jr. has winemaking in his blood. Growing up among the vines and making wine is a dominant theme of Williams life, a legacy handed down to him by his father, grandfather and great grandfather.
