Foley Estates Vineyard & Winery

Foley Estates Vineyard and Winery is the realization of vintner Bill Foley’s dream to produce world class Chardonnay and Pinot Noir near his home in Santa Barbara.

Located in the Santa Rita Hills appellation, the property was founded by Bill Foley in the late 1990’s and today is one of the most important in the appellation. The winery’s success can be attributed to strict winemaking protocols and two extraordinary estate vineyards.  To guarantee the best possible fruit, Foley’s viticulture and winemaking teams have developed a unique micro-farming program. This complex process involves the mapping of soils and topography down to the smallest increment using soil pits and aerial photography. Foley Estates has a total of 500 acres under wine and emphasizes on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.

Lincourt

There are many sources of tribute and inspiration for Lincourt. First there is the name of the winery, a fusion of Lindsay and Courtney, owner Bill Foley’s daughters. Then there are the small-lot bottlings of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that bear the names of the women who have influenced and shaped Bill Foley’s life including his wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. Finally, there are the two estate vineyards located within the Sta. Rita Hills region of Santa Barbara County. This area was largely unknown when the winery was founded in 1996, but today it is one of the most coveted, cool-climate AVAs in all of California.

Two Sisters

Two Sisters is named in honor of vintner, Bill Foley’s daughters, Lindsay and Courtney. The wines as well as the label and bottle shape are all inspired by their ability to combine strength, intelligence and femininity. These wines are made from the very best blocks of Chardonnay (Courtney’s Vineyard) and Pinot Noir (Lindsay’s Vineyard) from our Rancho Las Hermanas property located in the Sta. Rita Hills.
