From one summer’s eve in 1980 until now, we have hosted wine events and auctions in the Nashville, TN area to raise money for the battle against cancer. What started with Un Eté du Vin, “A Summer of Wine,” has grown into a successful non-profit organization known as Nashville Wine Auction. Generosity of Spirit: The funds raised at our events are donated to non-profit organizations for cancer research, patient treatment and family support. Because we are passionate about our community, all of our proceeds stay in Tennessee. Pam and Steve Taylor have put together the perfect lineup of amazing Bordeaux, all from one of the top vintages of the last twenty years: 2005. While most of the latter half of the 2005 growing season was stressed from a drought, the rain gods delivered at the perfect moment, giving proper nourishment that gave way to beautiful fruit. Daily heat then combined with the cool nights that the rain brought in allowing the grapes to be harvested under the most ideal conditions. If you’ve had a 2005 from any producer, you know it’s elegant, balanced, and full of fruit.
This dinner affords the chance to drink both Banks, guests will really get a feel of just how great 2005 was in Bordeaux! This special dinner is for ten thirsty couples on Friday, August 21, 2020 at The 404 Kitchen. Chef Matt Bolus will prepare the paired dinner. Combining 2005 Bordeaux with the cooking of Matt Bolus makes buying this Simply Bordeaux dinner a super simple decision!
