If you’ve ever attended a Nashville Wine Auction dinner, you might have left thinking wow, I could never prepare a food and wine pairing that superb. Well, my friends, the time has come for the winners of this lot to dust off your chef’s hat and join in on this truly fun event with Bricoleur Vineyards as they are lead through an amazing Cooking Show and Tasting!
On Thursday, April 29, 2021, the lucky winners will join Bricoleur Vineyards and Executive Chef Shane McAnelly at the hottest restaurant in town: their kitchens! What’s on the menu? How about a creamy Mushroom Pappardelle and fresh salad that pair perfectly with Bricoleur’s 2018 Pinot Noir and Chardonnay? The light creamy mushroom sauce and texture just lingers with the flavors of the Pinot Noir while the earthy and cherry finish of the Pinot will complement the structure of pappardelle pasta. They’re even including some bubbles to start the evening (a little liquid confidence) appropriately called Flying By the Seat of Our Pants Brut NV.
Bricoleur is a cherished name in the Pairings community as they were in attendance last year! Their wines are as inviting as their socially-focused hospitality. Mark and Beth Hanson alongside head winemaker Cary Gott craft wines in the Russian River Valley that represent the AVAs and most importantly can be enjoyed with good friends and good food.
Chef McAnelly, known for his eclectic, inventive, yet approachable dishes, has been a staple in the Healdsburg community since 2013 with the opening of Chalkboard restaurant. Under Shane’s direction, Chalkboard has received a Michelin Bib Gourmand award for six consecutive years. In May 2017, Shane opened Chalkboard’s pasta focused sister restaurant, The Brass Rabbit. Safe to say the man knows pasta, so they’re in excellent hands!
